San Diego City Fire Fighters Endorse Paul Kerr for Congress

San Diego, CA- Today, San Diego City Fire Fighters Local 145 endorsed Paul Kerr for Congress in the 49th Congressional District. The San Diego City Fire Fighters endorsement is one of the most highly sought after in local politics.
Jesse Conner, President of Local 145, said, “Paul Kerr is the candidate who is willing to listen, and he understands the issues that are important to fire fighters.Paul has spent the past 6 months talking and visiting with fire fighters and learning about the challenges they face on a daily basis. Local fire fighters know that Paul shares our concerns and values regarding public safety. Paul Kerr accepted this very important endorsement by saying, “I couldn’t be more honored to be endorsed by San Diego city fire fighters. These men and women bravely put their lives on the line every day in order to keep us safe. We have seen time and time again, that when disaster strikes, first responders rush toward the danger to protect us all. For as long as I’m honored to serve in Congress, I will always do everything I can to support the fire fighters and families, who sacrifice so much for all of us.”
Paul is a Vietnam-era, Navy Veteran who served on a destroyer out of San Diego that patrolled the coast of Vietnam shortly after that war ended. He’s lived in San Diego County for over 43 years. Having worked his way through college, Paul is a proud alumnus of San Diego State University. For the past 20 years, Paul has been an owner of a very successful, San Diego-based, small business.
California’s 49th Congressional District stretches from UCSD in the south, through northern, coastal San Diego County and Camp Pendleton to Orange County’s Dana Point and Ladera Ranch in the north.
