Paul Kerr endorsed by Communication Workers of America Local 9509 and 9511

San Diego, CA- Paul Kerr, a Navy Veteran, Democrat and small business owner running for Congress in CA-49, was endorsed by the Communication Workers of America Locals 9509 and 9511. Collectively these two unions represent over 2,500 workers in southern California.
Jesse Abril, the Secretary Treasurer for CWA Local 9511, said “Our members are endorsing Paul Kerr for Congress because he is committed to fighting for working families. Paul truly understands the struggles of everyday working families. He will fight for higher wages and good paying jobs here in Southern California.”
Sal Espinoza, Political Director for CWA Local 9509 said, “Paul Kerr will work to create economic opportunities for working people and ensure they retire with dignity. Paul understands the importance of workers being able to collectively bargain and having a say in their workplace. Paul is the leader working families in Southern California need in Congress.”
Paul Kerr said, “I am honored to have earned the support of these two critical CWA Local Unions. When I am in Congress I will champion solutions that will raise incomes and create more opportunities for working families in Southern California.”
Paul Kerr has also been endorsed by the San Diego City Firefighters, Orange County Professional Firefighters, and the San Diego Free Press Progressive Voter Guide.
Paul is a Vietnam-era Navy Veteran who served on a destroyer escort out of San Diego, that patrolled the coast of Vietnam shortly after that war ended. He’s lived in San Diego County for over 43 years. Having worked his way through college, Paul is a proud alumnus of San Diego State University. For the past 20 years, Paul has been an owner of a very successful, San Diego-based, small business.
California’s 49th Congressional District stretches from UCSD in the south, through northern, coastal San Diego County and Camp Pendleton to Orange County’s Dana Point and Ladera Ranch in the north.
